Broad
Green has been taken for granted by Labour for too long now and it's about time
that it received strong representation from people who are in touch with the
local residents.

The
Broad Green Ward Committee has been working hard to ensure a fairer deal for
Broad Green and its residents.
Fabion
Emmanuel
Chairman
Fabion
Emmanuel, 44, is a Croydon businessman with a strong background in retail
management.
Fabion lives in the Broad Green area and plays an active role within the local
community, particularly with the Broad Green Community Association, Broad Green
Safer Neighbourhoods Team Panel and as General Secretary of Croydon Tamil
Community Association.![]()
Fabion is passionate about Broad Green and wants to see the Council do more to
reverse the years of neglect which have damaged the reputation of the
area. He believes that by listening to local residents and providing them
with a strong voice, their concerns will finally be recognised and addressed.
Lance Alleyne
Secretary
Lance
is a 20 year-old student doctor who has lived in and around the Croydon area
all his life.
Lance is a strong believer in his local community and wants a proud sense of
civic pride to be restored all across Croydon. A former volunteer for a
local community support organisation, Lance recognises the value that community
groups can contribute to an area and believes that they should receive more
support from local government.
Lance believes that Croydon Council should have strong and robust policies on
crime and healthcare, which are two subjects at the forefront of most Broad
Green residents' minds. He also volunteers once a week as a police
officer for the British Transport Police, enabling him to see first-hand the
effect that Neighbourhood Policing has on an area.
Sarah Davis
Vice Chair
Sarah is a 24 year-old Croydon resident. She is part Danish
and works for a trade association.
Sarah grew up in Croydon and went to local state schools
before studying in London and Denmark. She is a great believer in the power of
local communities coming together and taking an active role in their future.
She believes in devolving as much power as possible down to the local level
where the best decisions for an area can be made.
Sarah's priorities for Broad Green are crime and
regeneration. Crime and anti-social behaviour have a huge impact on the whole community
and it is vital to bring everyone together to tackle the problem, from local
residents and police to businesses, including our vibrant community of small
traders. Part of addressing this problem is looking at what can be do to
regenerate our communities and give residents a feeling of pride and ownership
of their local area.
